What are the requirements for successful candidates?
Successful applicants must meet the conditions outlined in Chapter Six of the Kenyan Constitution, which include:
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
- Clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
- Tax compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
- Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
- Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
- Clearance from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The National Construction Authority noted that it is dedicated to gender equality and diversity as an equal opportunity employer (EOE).
It encouraged people from underprivileged groups and those with impairments to apply and warned that canvassing would result in automatic disqualification.
What should job seekers do to succeed in interviews?
Every year, thousands of graduates join Kenya's competitive labour market, but only a small percentage land positions due to limited opportunities.
Career development specialist Simon Ingari emphasised that a poorly constructed CV significantly reduces the likelihood of getting an interview.
He told TUKO.co.ke that professionals and recent graduates should be honest and highlight their achievements in their CVs.
"A CV that is not customised can be identified by recruiters. Make it unique for every position by utilising the job description's keywords. Companies want to see results. Concentrate on outcomes, such as "30% increase in sales." Don't provide out-of-date personal information like your ID number, marital status, religion, or your primary school education," he advised.
Which other organisations advertised jobs?
In related news, the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) announced 92 job openings for professionals and interns.
KCB also advertised multiple vacancies for job seekers in July 2025.
Elsewhere, the Kenya Railways Corporation announced vacancies for senior positions.
