5 Kenyan Companies Announce Public Auction for Cars, Motorcycles, Other Items in 30 Days

Five companies across Kenya have issued public notices to auction uncollected goods, including cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and even livestock.

The announcements were made under the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act (Cap. 38) through Gazette Notices dated July 21 and 22, 2025.
The auctions will occur within the stipulated timeframes unless the owners reclaim their items and settle related charges as per the notices published in the August 1 issue of the Kenya Gazette.

Auction notices in August
1. Kerati Auctioneers (Gazette Notice No. 10581)
Kerati Auctioneers will auction over 20 unclaimed motorcycles and one Toyota vehicle after receiving court approval (Misc. Application E030/2025 from Eldama Ravine).
The auction will be held within 30 days unless the owners come forward. All items are currently in the possession of Kerati Auctioneers.
2. Abuz Auto Limited (Gazette Notice No. 10582)
The notice by Abuz Auto Limited stated that owners of two vehicles, Toyota Crown KCH 009C and Toyota Harrier KDJ 900M, have 30 days to collect their vehicles from Abuz Auto Limited in Nairobi.
If they fail to collect the vehicles and pay accumulated storage and repair fees the company will auction the cars.
3. Autoland Auctioneers (Gazette Notice No. 10583)
Autoland Auctioneers will dispose of unclaimed motorcycles, bicycles, and a cow held at Lungalunga Police Station in Msambweni.
Owners have 14 days from publication to claim the items, or they will be auctioned on behalf of the police station.

4. Gophat Auto Garage (Gazette Notice No. 10584)
Three cars, Nissan Note KCX 834R, Ford Raptor KDC 009X, and Nissan Navara KBN 946R, brought in for repair before July 22, 2025, will be auctioned after 30 days if not collected.
Gophat Auto Garage said this is the final notice and will dispose of them to recover costs.
5. Nairobi Connection Services Auctioneers (Gazette Notice No. 10585)
Two vehicles, Mercedes Benz KBW 552U and Nissan Cube KCU 790N, stored at Jogoo Road Garage, Nairobi, will be auctioned after 30 days unless the owners settle all dues.
The firm warned that proceeds will be used to offset charges, and any shortfall will remain the owner's responsibility.
Applications for gold mining licences
In other news from the August 1 issue of the Kenya Gazette, the Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs has received four applications for gold mining licences from companies seeking to carry out large-scale mineral extraction in various parts of Kenya.
The information was published for public scrutiny as required by law.
The applications were submitted by Shanta Gold Kenya Ltd, Pwami Mineral Ventures Ltd, and Sebit Investment Ltd.
The proposed gold mining areas include parts of Siaya, Vihiga, Samburu, and West Pokot counties.
