What to know about Affordable Housing Conference

The company hosted this year’s conference under the theme “Revolutionising Housing Finance: Innovation Meets Sustainability.”

The meeting brought together housing policymakers, developers, financiers, and leaders from across East Africa and beyond.

They included delegations from Tanzania, Uganda, Malaysia, India, and Pakistan, as well as international housing finance institutions like Cagamas, NHB, and the World Bank.

KMRC CEO Johnstone Oltetia urged delegates to use the forum to push beyond dialogue and toward practical, scalable solutions that combine innovation, sustainability, and inclusive financing.

“We must go beyond theory. This conference is a springboard for action to build homes, uplift families, and empower communities. Affordable housing cannot succeed without addressing financing, legal, and demographic bottlenecks,” said Oltetia.
