A Kenyan has proven this statement in a viral list doing rounds on social media. The list shows the profession/career path and the car model one should own or drive in Kenya.

Which professions own high-end vehicles in Kenya

The list showed that politicians, doctors, engineers and lawyers own high-end vehicles including brands such as Toyota ZX Series, Mercedes-Benz, Ford Ranger and MBW Series.

Police, teachers and nurses own brands such as Toyota Premio, Toyota Vitz and Mazda Demio.

Farmers drive Toyota Hilux, Toyota Probox, while mechanics drive Toyota Corolla 110, and Lecturers drive Peugeot 504.

According to the list, other professionals and career workers own and drive different car models, including Subaru, Audi, Volvo, and Nissan.

The list sparked debate online, with the majority of Kenyans asking about the careers and professions that are not included and the type of cars they own.

Different cars sold in Kenya

Meanwhile, companies have been announcing the sale of different car models for Kenyans.

On Friday, August 8, MultiChoice, the parent company of pay TV platforms DStv and GOtv, announced the sale of motor vehicles in Kenya.

The company put under disposal car brands including the Ford Ranger and Ford Figo, Nissan, and Isuzu.

The most expensive car model costs KSh 2.1 million, while the cheapest model sells at KSh 150,000.
