Why MultiChoice is selling vehicles

The company, which boasts a huge market share across Africa via its DStv platform and other services, has recently faced challenges with low subscriptions.

In the first half of the financial year 2024/25, MultiChoice reported a R1.8 billion (KSh 13.1 billion, based on the current exchange rate) loss.

This pushed the company into financial constraints, a move that has seen it initiate the sale of 100% shares to a French entertainment firm, Canal+.
