The advert in the Daily Nation of Friday, August 8, seeks to recruit medical specialists under job group Q.

"Pursuant to the provisions of the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012 Section 45 (1), the County Public Service Board wishes to recruit Medical Specialists I Job Group ('Q') under the department of Health Services," read the advert in part.

The job vacancies are:

1. Obstetrics and Gynaecology - 15 posts

2. General Surgeon - 15 posts

3. Psychiatrist - 15 posts

4. Pediatric Dentist - 8 posts

5. Radiologists - 8 posts

6. Maxillofacial Surgeon - 8 posts

7. Physician - 8 posts.

What are the requirements for Kiambu County jobs?

The CPSB said qualified and interested candidates must have:

  • Served in the grade of Assistant Director, Medical Services/Medical Specialist II in the public or private sector or its equivalent for a minimum period of three (3) years
  • A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognised by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council
  • A Master of Medicine degree in any of the following disciplines: General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Paediatric Dentistry, Maxillofacial Surgery from an institution recognised by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council
  • A certificate of registration by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council, a valid practising license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council, and a certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognised institution or its equivalent is an added advantage.
  • A certificate in computer application skills will be an added advantage

How to apply for Kiambu county jobs

The advert urged all qualified candidates to submit their applications, a cover letter, together with copies of their detailed curriculum vitae with names, address and telephone contacts of three referees.

Other documents required are academic and professional certificates, testimonials, a national identity card or passport and any other supporting documents.

The application must reach the CEO, County Public Service Board, on or before Friday, August 15, 2025.
