This is after Twiva Africa partnered with Sony Investment Fund to expand the growing digital economy on the continent.

The creator monetisation platform partnered with the corporate venture capital arm of Sony Group Corporation to build a thriving digital ecosystem.

Why Twiva partnered with Sony

Twiva chief executive officer Peter Kironji said the partnership will expand the market and unlock new income-generating opportunities.

Kironji added that the strategic investment will empower creators to monetise their influence and enable brands to drive authentic commerce and engagement across Africa.

“With Sony’s expertise in entertainment and technology, we will scale our impact, expand into new markets, and unlock new income-generating opportunities for Africa’s youth.
“This investment accelerates our efforts to build Africa’s most impactful creator-powered ecosystem, where creators are not just influencers, but entrepreneurs and job creators driving inclusive economic growth across the continent,” said Kironji.

Twiva becomes one of the early pioneering companies in Sony Innovation Fund’s Africa-focused portfolio, catalysing the growth of the continent’s vibrant creator economy.

Africa is home to over 250 million youth actively engaged on digital platforms, making the creator economy one of the fastest-growing job creation engines.
