Masanda noted that the partnership follows the recent issuance of a 25-year mining licence (ML/2025/0216) to Sofax Fluorspar Kenya by the State Department of Mining.

The licence, valid until June 3, 2050, granted the company the rights to mine, process, and market Acidspar Grade Fluorspar (97% CaF₂), a high-demand industrial mineral.

The CEO added that the collaboration with Mizztech will bring cutting-edge processing technologies to Kerio Valley, enabling Kenya to tap into the growing global demand for fluorspar.

“This MoU with Mizztech Group is not just about refurbishing an old plant. It represents a broader vision to unlock the full economic potential of the Kerio Valley fluorspar belt, create sustainable employment, and position Kenya as a serious player in the global fluorspar value chain,” said Masanda.
