"Please @KenyaPower_Care After you are done with @Ademba_47 also help me understand this …how Ksh 5,000 gives only 177 units instead of 200, and within a month it drops further to 173. Yet there’s been no announcement of an increase in power costs."

"Weka 100 ten times, hesabu rahisi."

Does KPLC tariff determine tokens?

According to the electricity distributor, the tariff group a customer is categorised into determines the token amount and units.

In July, KPLC shared the tariff categories that determine the electricity bill consumers pay per month.

The company explained that consumers who maintain their monthly consumption at 30 units or below enjoy special and affordable rates.

However, those who consume above 30 units of electricity per month will pay more in token amount and receive fewer units.
