In a notice on Thursday, August 21, the organisation noted that the public sale will take place on Wednesday, September 3, at its office in Karen.

"World Vision Kenya, in conjunction with Igare Auctioneers, hereby invites interested bidders for the sale of obsolete, surplus and unserviceable items through public auction on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 10am at World Vision Kenya national office, Karen, Nairobi.
The items include office furniture, ICT equipment, electronics, laptops, solar equipment, generators, fuel pump, fuel tank, tent, carpets, old tyres, containers, old newspapers, gas cylinders, etc," it stated.

What are the conditions for sale?
- Three 40-foot containers will be sold in Karen, Nairobi, but will be viewed in Kisumu.
- Interested bidders must deposit a refundable fee of KSh 5,000 with Igare Auctioneers to receive a bidding number on the day of the auction.
- All prospective buyers must view and confirm the specific details of the items on sale.
- All products must be paid for; otherwise, they will be promptly resold, and the bid deposit will be forfeited.
- Following the auction, all losing bidders will receive their deposits back.
- All successful bids must be cleared immediately upon clearance on the auction day; failure to which it shall attract a KSh 500 daily storage charge.
- The sale will be "as is, where is", with no warranties or representations as to the quality of the items.
- The auctioneer reserves the right to accept or reject a bid.
- Bidders should obtain a list of items to be auctioned from Igare Auctioneers' offices.
- All bidders must carry a national identity document to access the auction premises.

Which other organisations announced auctions?
In related news, MOGO Ltd announced an auction of 38 vehicles, offering the cheapest model at KSh 170,000.
It made clear that there would be no assurances or warranties from the vendor and that the cars would be offered in their existing state and location at the time of sale.
It asked bidders to view the vehicles at its yards.
At the same time, Kenyan law firm Onyango & Tarus invited bids from Kenyans to buy Isuzu, Toyota and other motor vehicles.
Faulu Bank also announced the sale of motor vehicles, including Nissan and Toyota.
