"Preparations for the third edition of the E-mobility Conference and Expo are going on well with final touches expected by Friday this week. This year’s event is aligned with the needs and new trends in the industry.
"We are looking forward to great conversations and an opportunity to exchange notes, compare experiences and showcase new innovations that will accelerate the adoption of e-mobility in Kenya,” said Kenya Power’s managing director and CEO Joseph Siror in a press statement which was seen by TUKO.co.ke on Wednesday, April 30.
Tight e-mobility event schedule
Siror said that the first day of the summit will feature a 77-kilometre e-mobility parade in Nairobi and its environs.
The second day of the event will entail keynote addresses, panel discussions, product exhibitions, and live demonstrations under the theme “Nurturing the Growth of E-mobility in Kenya”.
The expo will bring together 40 exhibitors from different players in the electric mobility value chain.
This includes vehicle assembling companies, battery swap service providers, financiers and insurance firms.
The event, he said, will also offer members of the public a chance for test drives of the electric vehicles that Kenya is looking to start using fully in the next few years.
"The sessions are aligned with the conference’s thematic areas which are technology commercialization, sectoral policy outlook, infrastructure and regulatory progress, and research and development," he said.
