How should job applicants polish their CVs?

Simon Ingari, a career development associate with OYK CV Writing & Interview Coaching Services, advised candidates to tailor their CVs to the speciality they are applying for.

He noted that CVs and certificates should be sent in PDF format to avoid distortion.

"A CV is needed during the application for internships, graduate trainee programmes and entry-level jobs. A well-organised CV is the first step for a polished job hunter. More than half of the questions in the interview are from your CV.
A CV is the first impression for you in the interview. Make a folder for your certificates and a CV draft, and always update them. Write your CV according to the application and the speciality you are applying for," he told TUKO.co.ke.
