How should graduates polish their CVs?
Career development expert Simon Ingari advised graduates to quantify their achievements, use professional clean templates and explain all career gaps.
He reiterated that graduates should thoroughly read the job description before applying.
He also noted that job seekers should send customised applications.
"Make sure you understand what the company is looking for and tailor your CV to match. Prepare for interviews. Don’t show up without a plan. Practice answering questions like "tell me about yourself," and tailor your response to the role you’re applying for. Take the time to customise your CV and cover letter for each role. Your job search doesn’t have to be stressful. With simple tweaks, you can make a stronger impression and land the opportunities you’re aiming for," Ingari told TUKO.co.ke.
