Narok County Advertises 180 Jobs for Game Rangers, Wardens: "KCSE D-"

In advertisements shared on its website, the board noted that successful candidates will be offered permanent and pensionable terms.

The recruitment of 150 rangers will be conducted from Monday, September 8, to Thursday, September 18, 2025.

"Successful applicants will undergo a paramilitary training course lasting no less than six months, sponsored by the Narok county government," it stated.

What are the requirements for Narok county rangers?

Candidates must:

  1. Have a minimum of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) grade D-
  2. Possess a valid national identity card and be a citizen of Kenya.
  3. Have no criminal history
  4. Have a valid certificate of good conduct.
  5. Be physically and mentally fit.
  6. Be between the ages of 18 and 28.
  7. Men should be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall, while women should be at least 5 feet 2 inches tall.
  8. Have a keen sense of hearing and eyesight.
  9. Have computer literacy.
  10. During the initial training or the recruitment process, female candidates must not be pregnant.
  11. Fulfil the standards of Article 232 (Values and Principles of Public Service) and Chapter 6 (Leadership and Integrity) of the Kenyan Constitution.

What are the roles of rangers?

  1. Prevent poaching and maintain wildlife security.
  2. Take part in rescue operations.
  3. Track and recover illegal wildlife products.
  4. Compile nominal rolls.
  5. Investigate wildlife-related crimes.

How many wardens will be recruited?

Below are the requirements:

  1. Be between the ages of 22 and 30.
  2. Have a bachelor's degree in wildlife or environmental management or an equivalent course.
  3. Possess a valid national identity card and be a citizen of Kenya.
  4. Have no criminal history
  5. Have a valid certificate of good conduct.
  6. Be proficient in computer applications.
  7. Men should be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall, while women should be at least 5 feet 2 inches tall.
  8. Have a keen sense of hearing and eyesight.

What is the application process for Narok warden jobs?

The board asked candidates who meet the minimum requirements to submit their applications via email at recruitment@narok.go.ke.

The deadline to submit academic and professional certificates is Tuesday, August 26.

The board noted that the recruitment process is free of charge.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) invited applications from teachers to fill 24,000 internship vacancies for junior schools.
