The ministry has asked interested and qualified candidates to submit their applications by Friday, August 22.

Candidates are required to download an application form from the Public Service Commission website, complete it, and send it to the Principal Secretary (PS), State Department for Roads.
"Interested and qualified persons are requested to submit their applications by completing one PSC2 (Revised 2016) application form. The completed form can be sent to the PS, State Department for Roads, Ministry of Roads and Transport, P.O. Box 30260-00100, Nairobi," it stated.
Which jobs did Ministry of Roads advertise?
1. Security wardens - 23 positions
Duties:
- Patrol and/or guard of access points.
- Detention of unauthorised persons and vehicles entering premises and/or protected areas.
- Controlling crowds.
Requirements:
- Have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D+.
- A certificate of good conduct from the Kenya Police Service.
- Be less than 36 years old.
2. Housekeeping assistant I - three posts
Jobholders will oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of rooms.
Requirements:
- Have a KCSE C-.
- Certificate in housekeeping.

3. Driver instructor - seven posts
They will conduct proficiency tests for drivers and ensure maintenance of vehicles.
Requirements:
- Craft certificate in automotive engineering.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- First aid certificate from KIHBT or St John’s Ambulance.
4. Plant operator instructor - eight positions
Plant operators will operate and maintain machines and prepare lessons for students.
Requirements:
- Craft certificate in plant mechanics or construction plant.
- First aid certificate from KIHBT or St John’s Ambulance.
- A valid driver’s licence with endorsement for at least two plant/machines.
5. Housekeeping assistant III - 27 posts
Officers under this role will dust and clean rooms.
Requirements:
- KCSE D plain.
- Two weeks of training in housekeeping.
