The TECNO Camon 40 Series, with its advanced AI flash snap and universal tone technology, responds to that demand by bringing studio-quality photography into the hands of creatives countrywide.
The phone manufacturer unveiled the new phone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona followed by a vibrant launch experience at Sarit Centre in Kenya's capital city, Nairobi.
During the official Kenya launch in March, local consumers got the first local look at the phone’s next-gen features, including its pro-grade camera system and adaptive AI.
"TECNO continues to lead Africa’s mobile imaging revolution. The CAMON 40 Series isn’t just a smartphone, it’s a creative companion that makes professional photography accessible to everyone," Dickson Ireri, TECNO Kenya’s training manager explained.
Additionally, TECNO Mobile has officially launched the Mobile Photography Association (MPA) - a global non-profit platform designed to empower, educate, and elevate the next generation of mobile photography creators.

What's the cost of the TECNO Camon 40 Series?
The devices retail between KSh 24,999 and KSh 4,999 and are sold in all TECNO-branded outlets, including Jumia, Masoko, and Safaricom shops.
Brian Otieno, the retail manager at TECNO Kenya announced that the company had rolled out nationwide pre-orders, offering gifts. "We have an amazing offer for customers who secure their device early as they will receive an exclusive TECNO Earbuds, gifts and a KSh 2,000 cashback upon full purchase. The pre-order is available at TECNO exclusive stores, TECNO branded stores, Jumia, Masoko, and Safaricom shops," Otieno stated.

Other TECNO's innovations
Other innovations announced at MWC include TECNO’s Starry Optical Fiber design, a mesmerising light effect embedded in the back cover, and the new MegaBook S14, one of the world’s lightest 14-inch OLED laptops designed for professionals on the go.
Another standout innovation was the TECNO Spark Slim, an ultra-thin concept smartphone that balances sleek aesthetics and powerful endurance. Measuring just 5.75mm in thickness, the Spark Slim houses a 5200mAh battery, a feat that defies conventional engineering.
