Safaricom Responds to Customer Who Asked for KSh 200 Appreciation after 13 Years of Subscription

The man claimed that he has been using the Safaricom SIM card for the last 13 years, requesting appreciation.

The customer requested data bundles or a KSh 200 credit reward for his loyalty to the telco.

"13 years SIM card Safy... No appreciation... even bundles of 200 credit," read the customer's concerns in part.

In 2024, the company rewarded its customers as it celebrated its 24th anniversary, since it started operations in 2000.

The telco displayed free airtime vouchers online for first-come, first-served customers to redeem.

It also offered customers discounted offers and gifts for their support and loyalty.

What Safaricom told customer seeking reward

In response, Safaricom appreciated the customer's loyalty, urging him to keep checking its social media pages for great deals.

This came as the telco celebrated 18 years of M-Pesa services, with the M-Pesa Sokoni caravan rewarding Kenyans in various places.
