Safaricom has been offering 5G home routers for KSh 3,000 and monthly subscriptions starting at the same price point in rural and peri-urban areas, where satellite has a stronger case.
On the other hand, Starlink’s Gen 3 kit costs up to KSh 50,000, with unlimited data at KSh 6,500 a month, with the cheaper KSh 1,300 option capped at 50GB.
