What does TikToker want done if she dies at protests?

Kenyans have been sharing things they would like to happen to their parents should they not return home after the protests honouring Kenyans who died during the 2024 anti-government demonstrations.

Marrie, who shared a video dressed in a white cap and a Kenyan football team jersey, held a huge book as she read her terms.

"So let me brief you about my will before I step out. This KSh 2 million, my mum should book a trip for me to Kuala Lumpur. I have seen it is KSh 25,000. My body should view the place and be brought back. They should also give me part of the money to start a business in heaven. They should not remove my braces, I want to go and smile at Herod," she said.

She also left a message to renowned mortician Ann Mwangangi to ensure that she takes care of her quickly, so she does not wait in line.

"Just one hour. Do not keep me waiting. I have booked the corner already. Let us meet in heaven," she added.

Why are Kenyans protesting?

Kenyans have been on the streets since morning to mark the first anniversary since dozens were killed during the anti-government protests.

Many Kenyans from different walks of life walked towards the CBD to honour those who were shot dead by the police during demonstrations.

A number of politicians, including Kalonzo Musyoka and Eugene Wamalwa, joined the protests in solidarity with Gen Zs.

Others who also joined the demonstrations include former Chief Justice David Maraga and Senator Okiya Omtata.

Meanwhile, Mwangangi shared messages she was getting from netizens telling her to take care of them should they die.

She asked Kenyans to be safe while protesting and encouraged them to stop seeking to die as the solution.

The TikToker also wondered why most people were so tired that they were ready to die during protests.
