In an interview with TV 47, the politician bragged about buying a man a Samsung phone worth KSh 250,000.

"Actually, it was a phone, a Samsung fold. I'm not a Samsung person; I'm an iPhone person; I think it cost me something like KSh 250,000. It was for his birthday," she said.
The politician also maintained she can never go back to a cheating ex, regardless of who he is.
"It is a choice. There is no cheating someone gets beaten to do. It's you making the choice. You do not wake up and cheat. It is a process," she said.
When asked if she has ever heartbroken a man, she paused and then responded:
"Yes, I was the one who left because I looked at my standards and the future that I wanted to have and saw they do not align. If I had not deleted his number, I don't think I would have been a senator today."

In a different report, nominated senator Karen Nyamu once shocked many after buying her baby daddy Samidoh Muchoki alcohol worth KSh 420,000.
The store attendant hurriedly got her a bottle, and she paid for it in full using her credit card. Then, she proceeded to take a photo of the liquor.
The bottle was a Louis XIII, a cognac by Remy Martin, which caused her to receive sharp backlash online.
One of those who criticised her move was preacher Pastor T Mwangi, who claimed most politicians were living large at the expense of poor Kenyans.
