Why was Khaligraph Jones beefing with a fan?

The rapper had shared a video of himself rapping one of his songs, showcasing his signature silver grillz and matching silver necklaces.

While the video itself had nothing to do with his jewellery, one fan took issue with how prominently the expensive pieces were displayed.

The fan commented that Khaligraph should consider upgrading his jewellery, suggesting that a rapper of his calibre should move on from silver accessories to something more luxurious.

"Penye imefika nunua ata iced out chain umeshinda silver saizi" (At this point, you should consider even getting yourself an iced-out chain because your silver ones have become too much)," the fan wrote.

True to his no-nonsense nature, Khaligraph did not let the comment slide.

He responded with a sharp clapback, calling out the pressure fans place on artistes to maintain extravagant lifestyles they might not afford.

"Hizi ndio pressure mnapatia wasanii alafu wakisota mnaanza kuwacheka? Wacha ufala." ("These are the kinds of pressures you put on artistes, and when they go broke trying to please you, you start laughing at them. That is nonsense, stop it)," he wrote.

Who inspired Khaligraph to build his mansion?

In other news, Khaligraph, during an interview on the Mic Cheque podcast, shared that long before his rise to fame, he had always dreamed of owning a lavish home in Nairobi’s upscale areas, such as Kilimani or Kileleshwa.

Khaligraph recounted a transformative trip to Nigeria, where he visited Rude Boy from the iconic duo P-Square and saw how he had a lavish mansion.

Witnessing the singer’s lavish lifestyle made him rethink his own aspirations, with the privacy and comfort of Rude Boy’s home leaving a lasting impression on him.
