Muchiri recently released a statement highlighting where he was at in life after trending for days because of his choice of style.

He had been captured wearing a crop top which left many wondering why he picked the style to step out.

In his statement, Muchiri said he was only interested in pleasing the little child in him and the elder he aspires to be.

However, he has now rebranded to Ziya and shared a post questioning who he was and what makes up a name.

In his Instastory, he wrote:

"Ziya. What's in a name? Watch closely."

In his Instagram bio, Muchiri wrote:

"I was someone else before. Now, I'm Ziya. And this is just the beginning."

Muchiri went viral for his role as Mama Maiko, who represented a tough and no-nonsense African mum.

He also shut down claims that he had beef with Mammito for copying him and said he had no problem with her.
