Gospel Star JFam Shares Rags-to-Riches Story after Going From Mathare Slums to US

The dancehall genre artiste, a Mathare slums native, is now enjoying the sweet things in life as he travels across the United States performing and ministering in different states.

As he celebrated his birthday, which also becomes the first in US after relocating last year, JFam shared with TUKO.coke about his success story and plans he has for the future.

JFam celebrates his birthday with stunning post

The rapper went on social media to share a post in which he was donning a swanky blue suit made by famous fashion designer Bolo Bespoke.

He was posing in front of a mall, accessorising his suit with white shoes and a silver chain, showing the swagger he never thought he would have during his childhood.

In the slide, he added a photo of him during his days in Mathare slums that showed the incredible contrast from where he was to where he is.

In his caption, he wrote:

"Today is my day! Happy birthday Jfam! The 3rd slide is me + my family! #happybirthdayjfam

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, JFam noted he has been in the United States for over 10 months and he is working and still doing gigs.

He also said he was working on an album with international artistes and was set to release some of the music as he does a comeback after a long break.

"Been in America for close to an year now (10 months). I’m working and still doing gigs, I also have a gig coming soon in California, LA.Working on an album with intl artists, releasing first project next week after a long break," he said.

The musician also went on a tour of Hollywood and even posed for snaps near the famous HOLLYWOOD sign, which is something many don't get to do.
