Biketi, the founder of a philanthropic foundation, in an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, said the incident was regrettable and should never happen again in Trans Nzoia.

She added that her foundation is not after politics; rather, it is seeking to identify and recruit ambassadors.

"I am very sad for what has happened to us today. The objective of my foundation is to empower the less fortunate in the society and our campaign is not in any way political," Biketi said.

Via her Instagram account, she condemned the attack on her and her team. She said:

"I want to take this strongest opportunity to condemn the violence meted on our team while undertaking the well meaning initiative meant to empower our society In Tranzoia County today."

What did Biketi's foundation workers say?

Peninah Makambi, a member of Mary Biketi Foundation, condemned the incident and called for an investigation and the arrest of all the youths involved in the fracas.

Morgan Chesoni and Ali B, working with the foundation, said the attack would not divert their focus.

Ali B urged Trans Nzoia youths not to accept being used by selfish politicians.

"We are very worried of what transpired at today at Kitale Museum. While we ask our youths to shun such backward behaviour, we want to know who had sent the goons," Ali said.

They added that they would not take revenge and would not be intimidated.
