“It has been said on various media channels that the family received KSh 10 million. I have been asked to set the record straight, and I am doing so from the pulpit, fully aware of the consequences of lying,” the lawyer said.
He continued:
“The family did not receive KSh 10 million. The family wishes to confirm that they received KSh 2 million from the Head of State, KSh 1 million from Raila Odinga, and KSh 2 million from Kenyans who contributed various amounts. All this totals to KSh 5,060,000. I repeat, it is not true that the family received KSh 10 million from one individual.”
