Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke, Jackson said she is taking a firm stand on civic responsibility by threatening to block anyone in her life, including friends, family, and even her boyfriend, who has not registered as a voter by next year.
Liz Jackson's warning to Kenyans not registered to vote
The media personality emphasised that voter registration is the bare minimum commitment every adult Kenyan should make if they want to see real change in the country.
"I’m very serious about this. By next year, I won’t entertain any adult who has not registered as a voter. I will block my family, my friends, and any person who doesn’t have a voter’s card," she said.

Jackson's warning comes at a time when many Kenyans, especially the youth, are still reeling from the aftermath of the 2024 anti-government protests.
The demonstrations, largely led by young people, called for better governance, job opportunities, and an end to corruption and police brutality.
However, Jackson warns that the sacrifices made during those protests, including lives lost, could be in vain if young people do not translate their outrage into action at the ballot box.
“What would I do with a boyfriend who has no voter’s card?” she posed rhetorically. “We marched on the streets, we posted, we protested, and some of our peers were arrested, beaten, and even killed. Are we just going to sit back now and let things go back to how they were? No! We need to come out and vote in honour of those who lost their lives fighting for change.”

According to Jackson, voter apathy among youth has long been one of Kenya’s biggest political setbacks.
She believes that unless young people become intentional about political participation, the country will continue to suffer under poor leadership.
“You can’t claim to care about the country or complain about poor leadership if you haven’t even done the most basic thing — register to vote. This is our chance to rewrite the story of Kenya.”
Jackson has also urged her fellow influencers and media personalities to use their platforms to encourage civic participation ahead of the next general election.
She called for a nationwide campaign that targets the youth, reminding them that real change doesn’t end in the streets, it begins at the ballot box.
