The singer has been battling with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) since 2022.
What is deep vein thrombosis?
DVT is a disorder in which a blood clot develops in a deep vein, typically in the legs, but can also develop in other veins, including those of the arms or pelvis.
These clots could find their way to the lungs and cause a life-threatening clot or other substance blocking an artery, hence hindering blood flow to the lungs.
What happened to David Wonder?
The condition has affected the musician's left leg since 2022, and he has been in significant pain.
Wonder's manager Chingi Boy, in an exclusive with TUKO.co.ke, opened up about the situation.
According to his manager, the musician is seeking financial aid, and anyone willing should contact him via his social media pages.
"He has not been feeling well since 2022, and the doctors have advised him against prolonged standing. The illness has also kept him from performances; hence, his source of income has also been cut. Whoever is willing to help out can reach out to Wonder's social media platforms and we will respond," he said.
Kenyans on social media have been sympathising with the musician after a video of Wonder in the hospital surfaced.
