The veteran media personality breathed his last on the night of Monday, April 28, while undergoing treatment for meningitis at Nairobi’s Coptic Hospital.

His untimely death came just weeks after fellow media icon Caroline Mutoko rallied Kenyans to participate in a blood donation drive in his support.

At the time, Mutoko revealed that Kwach was critically ill and urgently needed blood transfusions to elevate his haemoglobin and iron levels.
