The CS was intrigued by its size and initiated a short conversation with the seller, asking where the fruit was grown.
The seller proudly explained that the watermelon was from Mbeere, an area known for its agriculture.
When the seller offered the watermelon for KSh 1,000, Murkomen initially hesitated, questioning whether that was the actual price for the large fruit.
The seller clarified that the price was actually KSh 500.
However, Murkomen, in a lighthearted yet generous gesture, decided to pay far more than the asking price.
“Unauza ngapi moja? Wacha bei ya Waziri, mimi nauliza bei ya hustler. Hii itakuchukuwa massa ngapi uuze umalize? Kama moja ni KSh 500, shika hii ni KSh 10,000,” Murkomen said, walking away but not taking the massive watermelon with him.

Did Murkomen and Ruto wear matching shirts?
In another story, the leaders recently caught attention for wearing matching designer shirts at separate events, showcasing their expensive taste.
Murkomen was the first to wear the Stefano Ricci shirt on April 24 during a media interview in Kitui and a town hall meeting.
The shirt, featuring a distinct collar pattern, was paired with khaki pants and black shoes.
On May 4, President Ruto wore the same shirt at an interdenominational prayer service in Migori, pairing it with khakis and blue loafers.
The shirt is priced at KSh 194,000 and comes in seven colours.
