Why did Alma embarrass Gift?

In December 2024, while appearing on Obinna TV, Alma shocked fans when she criticised Gift for allegedly not contributing financially while living in her house.

At the time, she said she had been paying all the bills alone and had reached her breaking point.

Her comments sparked widespread debate online, with many feeling Gift had been unfairly humiliated in public.

Alma also shared that she wanted to part ways with him at the time, urging him to go out and earn money.

Gift denied moving into her house and revealed that he had dyed his hair pink in an effort to make her fall more deeply in love with him.

However, in a recent interview with Morin Actress, Alma opened up about why she took that route and offered a heartfelt apology.

She explained that she tends to bottle up emotions and rarely shares her struggles with others, which often leads to her being emotionally overwhelmed.

“I am that kind of person who doesn’t tell their problems. I don’t have that third person to talk to when dating. I don’t tell people how I am feeling so they can advise me. I just take it in, telling myself I’ll be fine, then it becomes too much," she admitted.

She acknowledged that her outburst came from a place of exhaustion and emotional strain, not malice.

“I would like to apologise because of the disrespect, because it came out like, ‘Why would you do that, Alma?’ I didn’t really want it to come out like that. I was just so tired,” she said.

It is not entirely clear whether the duo remained together after the public scandal, but a spot check on their social media revealed they had taken down each other's photos.
