How did Kiengei discipline son?

The man of God candidly narrated how he disciplined his son, Arsene, after an incident that he considered disrespectful.

“He slammed the door of the car and I told him, ‘Kuja hapa’. I held his cheeks and slapped him for being disrespectful. Nikamwambia, ‘Fungua hio mlango ufunge sasa,’ Kiengei told his amused congregation.

Is there trouble in Kiengei's marriage?

Kiengei shares Arsene and a daughter named June with his wife, Reverend Joy.

The couple has, in the past, been seen attending church events together, often making public appearances that displayed a united family front.

However, recent developments have sparked speculation that all might not be well between the bishop and his wife.

Observant netizens and congregants noticed Reverend Joy’s conspicuous absence from church services and charity events for two consecutive Sundays.

Kiengei, known for arriving hand-in-hand with his wife on Sundays, was seen pulling up alone.

Videos and photos from recent events have added fuel to the rumours, with fans questioning whether cracks are forming in the couple’s previously admired union.

Neither Kiengei nor Joy have addressed the speculation.

How many wives does Kiengei have?

In other news, the clergyman publicly refuted allegations linking him romantically to city businesswoman, Dama wa Spares.

During a sermon on February 25, 2024, he addressed circulating rumours suggesting he was involved with Dama, who previously served as a matron at his church.

While speaking to his congregants, Kiengei firmly stated that he had only one wife, Joy.

He tied the knot with Joy over seven years ago as his second wife while still married to Keziah wa Kariuki.

The two later parted ways, and Keziah recently moved to the United States with their 11-year-old daughter, Orpah.
