The mother of one took a month-long social media break after her fans expressed concerns about her health.

The well-known YouTuber said she had successfully finished more than a month-plus alcohol detox, a choice she boldly shared with her fans.

The YouTuber celebrated 43 days of sobriety, aiming for a full 90-day detox.

Among the most apparent changes she has gone through is weight gain.

Did Georgina Njenga quit alcohol?

Njenga revealed that she has put on 10 kg, which is the heaviest she has been since her weight loss after giving birth.

She hinted that the weight gain was deliberate. Those who give up alcohol often undergo bodily changes, including better metabolism, and reduced hunger.

Georgina noted that she had taken her fans' advice after they expressed worry about her weight gain.

She wrote:

"Since you all complained about my weight 10kgs added. Day 43/90 sober too,” the post was accompanied by emoji decorations, adding a touch of playfulness to her announcement.

The mother of one had asked her fans what content they would love to see from her page, seemingly moving away from her past content.

Her journey has placed her among other Kenyan celebrities, such as Janet Mbugua and Omosh, who have openly embraced sobriety.

As she continues on this path, Georgina's story serves as an inspiration to many who may be considering a similar lifestyle shift.

Omosh opens up about his struggles with alcohol

In other news, Tahidi High actor Omosh revealed that for years, he was imprisoned by his addiction to alcohol.

The actor said he struggled to untangle himself from the vice.

In 2022, he made a change to quit alcohol, and his life has never been the same.

The actor also narrated how he spent KSh 300,000 of his salary in one night. He was on a drinking spree from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

At the time, he struggled to provide for his family despite earning a decent salary.

Omosh had even squandered fare and had to borrow after paying for people's drinks.

During TikToker Brian Chira's burial in 2024, he revealed that he had given his life to Christ.

The polygamous actor thanked God for improving his life, and he looked great physically.

Omosh said that he was developing a potbelly since he had chosen to eat rather than drink.
