The artiste got married at a beautiful ceremony back in 2016, but six years later, the couple separated and ended up divorcing.
How did Daddy Owen's divorce affect him?
In a past media interview, the System ya Kapungala hitmaker opened up about how wrangles in his marriage affected him.
Owen revealed that divorce happened at the peak of his career and affected his music career, leading him into depression. The singer said he could lock himself in the house and cry, questioning God.
The award-winning gospel singer also revealed he regretted not marrying before fame. The couple was blessed with two adorable kids, and rumour had it that Frida dumped Owen for a wealthy man.
After their divorce, Fridah, allegedly moved on immediately with a Nakuru businessman. The beautiful mother has kept her private life under wraps since dumping Owen, and no information about her current relationship status is known to the public.
Daddy Owen shares mistakes he made in marriage
Speaking during an interview on Buzz Central, Owen admitted to being naive, saying he thought marriage was about love.
He advised men to avoid getting married because of love, saying the most important thing is purpose, which must be defined.
"You must know your purpose. The same purpose will give you a true north that once the helper comes in, there is already a compass where you're headed, not that she's coming in and you both don't know where you're going. When she comes in, she attaches to the purpose and it now becomes 'our purpose'," he said.
The musician noted that most successful people have been able to find their purpose, and their spouses are attached to it.
He noted that most men marry women lower than themselves financially, adding that if their vision is clear, the woman will align with it, which is why it's easier for a man to marry lower.
What lesson did Daddy Owen learn from his divorce?
The Kupedekale crooner also revealed a lesson he has learnt from his previous marriage, noting the idea that men expecting women not to change after marriage is a lie.
He said he is now aware that change happens in both, noting even the environment changes people.
He advised men to be aware that the women they marry will change at some point, and this is down to milestones and nurture.
"Enviroment alone can change this woman and even milestone alone can change her," he said.
Owen also shared the importance of women being submiss*ve to their men, showing respect and men loving their women.
He said men are not easy lovers, hence why God gave them that obligation and women find it hard to show respect hence why they were given the task.
"It's really hard for a woman to submit, even from the Garden of Eden. Being submissi*e for a woman is not natural, it's really hard. It should not be like you're playing a role, it should be in you," he said.
On being in love, Owen said he would not dare disclose if he's dating or married, which gives him a lot of peace.
He said he would not dare wear a wedding ring ever again if it got to that, so that he does not give fans any clue on his private life.
