Comedian Eric Omondi has once again shown his generosity through the philanthropic Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative.

He has shown interest in helping a bright Nyakach student on the verge of dropping out of school due to lack of school fees.

Who is Ballola Onyango?

Ballola Onyango is an exceptionally determined and bright young man who captured the attention of his community in 2021 when he excelled in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams.

Ballola's aunt, Domoline Adhiambo, told TUKO.co.ke that the youngster scored an impressive 381 marks in the final-year exams.

His performance at Onwang’o Primary School earned him a coveted spot at Kanga High School, one of the top-performing national schools in the country.

Why Ballola Onyango dropped out of school

However, the financial assistance was not sustainable, and over time, the burden of tuition and other school-related expenses became too much to bear.

Despite the family’s best efforts, they have been unable to raise the necessary funds to keep Ballola in school.

The result has been a heartbreaking interruption of his academic journey, with the young scholar now staying at home, his future hanging in the balance.

After TUKO.co.ke shared his story, it caught the attention of Eric, who has been helping needy people in the country.

He launched a search on social media, asking for anyone with information about Onyango's family to contact him, so he could facilitate his return to school, by raising school fees for him.

"One day, education will be free in this Country… One day. Please help me find him or his Guardian’s number tumrudishe shule mapema. Am told he is from Kanga High School Nyakach. Anaitwa Ballola Onyango," Eric wrote in his emotional post.

He got the family's number and TUKO.co.ke confirmed that the philanthropic comedian had reached out to them and talked about it.

Eric’s usual approach to philanthropy involves directly engaging with his online followers to contribute to causes he supports.

He often shares family contact details and asks his fans to contribute financially to support those in need.

His efforts have had a great impact on the lives of many in Kenya.

A few days ago, Consolata Aoko’s grandchildren had KSh 145,000 in unpaid school fees, prompting her to bring six chickens to the school as partial payment.
