What did Nyamu tell Gachagua?
Taking to social media, Nyamu questioned Gachagua’s demand that the artistes apologise for the visit.
She wrote:
"Waombe msamaha for visiting the official residence of the Deputy president of the Republic of Kenya? Is the Government of Kenya illegitimate? You would think they committed an abomination, or joined a cult."
Additionally, Nyamu took a swipe at Gachagua’s leadership style, justifying his ouster as DP in 2024.
"This character could not have lasted in the high office Ruto had elevated him to. These are not words of a leader," she wrote.
Her remarks came after Gachagua, speaking during a church event, branded the musicians as 'traitors of the community,' warning that they had crossed a line and demanding a public apology.
He claimed the decision followed consultations with community elders and threatened a full boycott if the artistes failed to apologise.
However, Deputy President Kindiki fired back at Gachagua during a separate event in Kabete.
Kindiki dismissed the threats and made it clear that alleged intimidation would not be tolerated.
He stressed his continued support for musicians, noting that while only 50 musicians had visited him so far, he was ready to invite 500 more and dared Gachagua to take any action.
