What is David The Student doing abroad?

David has been sharing occasional social media posts, but mostly keeps a low profile. He previously posted tributes to the late Fred Omondi and recently shared a video from his stand-up show at a pub.

Before then, the funny man, whose real name is David Kagongo, worked as a taxi driver. He previously went viral due to a run-in with a passenger.

In a widely shared video, a white passenger racially abused him. The incident occurred in Issaquah, Washington, where David, who worked as a Lyft driver, asked the passenger, Joe, to wear a face mask before entering the vehicle.

Joe refused and launched into a profanity-filled, racist rant. David began recording the outburst and later shared the video on Twitter. Joe used slurs, including the N-word, and made threats, while his wife attempted to intervene. At one point, Joe even threatened to urinate in the car.

The abuse resulted in the passenger being banned from Lyft. Despite the hostility, David remained calm, ending the confrontation by wishing the couple a good night. The incident sparked widespread outrage online, drawing support for David and condemnation of the passenger’s behaviour.

In a different report, Daniel Ndambuki, better known as Churchill, marked his 47th birthday on November 2 with a lively celebration at Carnivore in Nairobi.

The festivities took place during a live recording of the Churchill Show and were attended by fans, close friends, and fellow comedians like Chipukeezy, MC Jessy, and Eddie Butita.

A highlight of the event was a three-tier cake decorated with Churchill’s image, which he cut alongside his friends and protégés.
