Did Rev Joy return to church?

However, during Sunday’s service, Bishop Kiengei put the rumours to rest in the most heartwarming way.

He showered her with praise and affection, thanking God for her return and subtly suggesting she may have been unwell during her time away.

“I am going to take you around this country so that you may know it,” Kiengei joked, drawing laughter from the congregation as he narrated a light moment from a recent trip to Taita Taveta.

He continued:

“We missed you in the church. Thank you God that you are now well and whole. May God bless you. Welcome back, my love.”

On her part, Joy did not address the swirling speculation directly. Instead, she expressed gratitude to the congregation for their continued support and shared upcoming plans for church activities.

Her return appeared to restore a sense of normalcy and unity to the ministry, easing the concerns of many supporters who had taken to social media during her absence to express both worry and curiosity.
