Did Stevo really buy a car?

The popular and content creator, known for his viral catchphrases, announced that he had bought his first personal vehicle, a Daihatsu Mira.

In the past, Stevo had pulled stunts that led fans to believe he had bought a car, notably a Mazda Demio.

However, he later came clean during an interview on the Mic Cheque Podcast, revealing it was a publicity stunt intended to boost his online visibility.

He also admitted that although Khushi Motors, the company whose car he used for the stunt, later gave him a vehicle to use for errands, the car was not his.

This time, though, the artiste says things are different.

Taking to Instagram, Stevo posted photos of himself standing proudly next to the new ride, shaking hands with the car dealer and smiling from ear to ear.

“Thanks to my new management, I have finally become one of the car owners in the country for the first time since I began my journey in music. Nimefanikiwa. Many thanks to all my fans for standing by me, I love you all," he wrote.

TUKO.co.ke reached out to Nairobi-based car dealer Denis Kimanthi, who shared insights on why the Daihatsu Mira is a smart pick for Stevo.

“The Daihatsu Mira is one of the most economical cars in Kenya today. It’s a compact hatchback with an engine size of about 660cc, making it perfect for town errands. Just a fun size car,” Kimanthi explained.

Additionally, he explained that the Mira is also easy to maintain, highly fuel-efficient, and ideal for content creators like Stevo who need a reliable, low-maintenance vehicle to move around quickly and affordably.

“We have a similar unit in our showroom going for about KSh 450,000. It is a solid first purchase mostly because of its affordability to maintain,” he said.

In other news, Stevo shut down claims that his ex-manager, Machabe, had been instrumental in shaping his career growth.

The 34-year-old artiste offered a glimpse into his modest lifestyle, showing his simple home and noting that much of what he owns, including his bed and TV, came from generous well-wishers rather than Machabe.

He openly questioned the former manager's contribution, especially over the past year, insisting that the tangible support came from fans and not from his management.
