Actress Jackie Matubia and her family were recently thrown into mourning after the sudden death of her father, David Mwangi.

Matubia's dad lost his long battle with cancer, and she went on Instagram on Monday, June 9, to share the sad news.
In her message, the mother of two said heaven could not wait for her dad, being the kind of man he was with a loving heart.

On her Instagram Stories, Matubia shared a poster with a lovely message to her beloved father.

The statement noted that Mwangi was the pillar of strength, love and a man of wisdom, who asked for very little.
The family vowed to carry his kindness, laughter and presence, adding that he will always remain their guide despite departing.
They asked anyone willing to contribute towards their dad's burial plans to send their donation to the number 0715235106.
"A pillar of strength, love, and quiet wisdom, you gave so much and asked for so little. Your laughter, your kindness, your steady presence- we carry them with us, always. Though you are no longer by our side, your love remains our guide. You will forever live in our hearts," the statement read.
Jackie also shared a lovely photo with her late dad, saying she had received another painful reminder that he was gone.
"It happened today. And by it I mean another painful reminder that you are not here," she wrote.

She also shared a video of herself going through some of the photos she had taken with her dad over the years.
The content creator said that she was filled with many memories, something that she will live with in her entire lifetime.
Despite him being her stepdad, the love and care that they shared were out of this world.

Jackie Matubia shares photo of dad in hospital bed
Matubia's dad went public with his condition almost a year ago during a birthday party held in his honour.
At the event, Matubia and the late Mwangi burst into tears over his health, as they noted how difficult the situation was and were hopeful that he was healed after several chemotherapy sessions.
However, the situation seemed to have relapsed, sending her dad to the hospital again for treatment.
Reflecting on the tough times, the actress shared a photo of her and her dad holding hands while he was sleeping on the hospital bed.
In the caption, she said she woke up hoping the news about his death was all a dream.
Matubia prayed that he may rest in peace and accompanied the post with Jonathan Lee's song, Heaven's Lucky to Have You.
