Is joking about death discouraged?

The media personality explained that she believes in the power of the tongue and urged Gen Z to stop the trend.

"Gen Zs, if there is something I don't like to joke with, is life. I am very careful with what I say because I believe in the power of the tongue. They are joking about tomorrow's protests. Some say they will eat lunch at the State House and supper in Sayun (heaven). To mean to die after protesting. Why are you joking with death? Some even console themselves that even if they die, their parents would be paid KSh 2 million, the way Albert Ojwang's dad was given," she said.

Anne wondered why the young people joke with death.

"If you have ever lost a loved one, you will not be happy about death. Some of us wish that our parents were alive. I don't find it funny. There are many occasions where whatever I have said came to pass," she added.
