Is Diamond single?

The Komasava hitmaker, who is currently on tour in the UK, made the revelation during an interview when asked whether he was dating or single, a question that has trailed him for years.

Despite it being an open secret that Diamond has been romantically involved with fellow Tanzanian star Zuchu, the singer has often left fans confused by repeatedly denying her in public.

His avoidance of clarity had only fuelled speculation, leaving many to believe he was not ready to fully own the relationship.

One of the more controversial moments came when Diamond appeared on Netflix’s Young, Famous & African, where he attempted to woo co-star Fantana, boldly claiming he was single.

Another incident in Nigeria saw Diamond flirting with women during his best friend Juma Jux’s wedding. He even told the officiating pastor at the wedding that he was single.

These public denials and actions, interpreted by netizens as disrespectful to Zuchu, appeared to frustrate her.

At one point, she even asked her fans to send in their CVs for her to choose a husband, hinting Diamond was taking too long.

However, in his latest interview, Diamond confidently declared:

“I’m taken, just one on the list. How can someone like me be single?”
