They broke into anti-government chants with high energy while en route to the CBD, where demonstrators and police were already facing off.
The matatu, which appeared packed with passengers, quickly turned into a moving protest.
Kamakai and Elvis led the way, singing loudly saying:
“Yote yawezekana, ooh yote yawezekana...”
Their infectious energy quickly rubbed off on fellow passengers, who joined in with claps, whistles, cheers, and ululations.
However, as expected of them, the comedians did not miss the chance to inject their signature humour.
Kamakai captioned the video:
"Tunaomba hiyo teargas itoshe please🥹🥹tuko wengi," hinting at being ready to face off with the police.
The cheeky comment added to the humour, inviting even more hilarious reactions from social media users.
Many also lauded them for showing up to the protests on ground and not online like other celebrities.
