June 25 Protests: Njugush, Jackie Matubia, and Other Celebs Join Protestors in Nairobi
- Kenyan celebs have shown that they too feel the pain felt by any mwananchi when it comes to oppression
- Many of them, including singers, actors, content creators and entertainers, were spotted in the Nairobi CBD demanding justice
- They shared photos and videos, as some noted that the march was to remember the innocent lives that have been lost

Kenyan celebrities came out to join other protesters during the June 25 protests held across the country.

In Nairobi, it was dubbed the 'mother of all protests', and many Kenyans came out to demonstrate against injustices and commemorate the lives lost in last year's Occupy Parliament protest
Which celebrities joined Kenyans in the protest
On social media, several celebs shared videos on their Instagram and X accounts as they joined the protesters.

1. Jackie Matubia
One of those celebs was Jackie Matubia, who shared videos while in the CBD protesting.

She could be seen in tears due to the tear gas that filled the air, and even disclosed getting a panic attack after recently losing her father.
"There's nothing hard like going through grief while and also wanting to be in the frontline in fighting for your own country. Death is really cruel, it shouldn't be like this," she said while fighting tears.

2. Njugush
Comedian Njugush also shared videos of himself after joining protesters in demanding justice while also mourning those lost.
In videos and photos shared on his Instagram, he could be seen lifting his hands to symbolise solidarity while also joining the youth in demonstrating.
3. Minne 'Cayy' Kariuki
Actress Minne 'Cayy' Kariuki and her husband Charles Muigai aka Lugz also arrived early in the CBD to join the protests.
They were spotted interacting with Kenyans as they chanted songs of freedom, demanding justice and accountability.

4. Matata Kenya
Male dance group Matata was also spotted asking for justice as they chanted alongside other Kenyans.
The team was carrying the Kenyan flags and also placards that sent a message to the government on their demands.
5. Daddy Owen and DJ Mo
Musician Daddy Owen and entertainer DJ Mo also shared a video while on a boda boda with radio presenter Sir Lotan as they went to the CBD.
They were all smiles, with DJ Mo captioning the video: "CBD incoming. Together as one, for our heroes."
6. Wahu and Nameless
Wahu and hubby Nameless also shared a photo alongside daughter Tumiso, as they donned Kenyan flags ahead of the demos.
From their comment, it was evident that they were heading to Nairobi town to join the protesters.
7. Mammito
Comedian Mammito, a nursing mom, made her voice heard as she shared photos while in the CDB.
In a witty post, she noted that her child's milk had been well pumped and it was time to pump change in the country.
8. Nyashinski
Rapper Nyashinski was spotted together with his wife Zia Bett as they joined others.
In his post, the Mungu Pekee hitmaker noted that he was mourning for all the lives lost in the previous protest.
In a chat with TUKO.co.ke, media personality Silva Kido, he said it was good to see people from the industry come out to show solidarity with those that support them, which will only help the industry.
"It was something nice to see because it is the same protesters that support their craft and being Kenyans, they also feel the pinch and see the need to demand for justice," he said.
Well-built shirtless protester hands food to police officers
In other news, a muscular man was spotted handing out bread and soda to police officers in the Nairobi CBD.

The young man who was also shirtless went around with a cart filled with bread and soda, handing them out to the police.
He sent a clear message to many that despite the evident hostility between many in the service vs the citizens, there was still kindness and a yearning for peace.
