Njugush Critics Govt for Turning Blind Eye to Vandalism, Claiming Looters Left Behind IDs in Skit

  • Njugush left his fans in stitches with a new skit that called out the government in the most cryptic way
  • This came following protests in Nairobi and other towns in Kenya, where businesses were broken into
  • The skit tried to show how the police were at fault, but many noted it needed a high IQ to understand

Comedian Njugush has slammed the government in a skit following incidents that took place during Wednesday, June 25, protests.

What started as a peaceful march turned ugly, with running battles between the police and protesters.

In the midst of it all, several businesses lost millions to looting and vandalism that was heavily condemned by the CS for Interior, Kipchumba Murkomen.

Njugush blames government for letting goons vandalise businesses

In a cryptic but easily explainable skit, Njugush played a thief at night, getting to someone's house and asking them to lock up their dogs so that he could steal from them.

"Nataka unishikie umbwa nikuibie. Mimi ni mwizi," he said.
"Nitajuaje wewe ni mwizi unataka aje kuiba na unaniuliza ruhusa," his wife Celestine Ndinda, playing the victim, reacted.

He showed the owner of the house his ID, and even noted where he was coming from, asking for a signature and what the owner of the house wanted stolen.

The skit symbolised claims from several citizens and business owners who appeared on camera, accusing the police of watching as their businesses were looted.

Njugush also reacted to claims that the looters left behind their IDs, which was evident during Murkomen's inspection, when he and his team stumbled upon numerous cards.

Njugush also mimicked the Deputy President Kithure Kindiki's alleged soft voice, saying:

"Oh kwa hivo unaweza nijua, mimi ni mwizi, Nani anakaa hawezi iba? Mimi noma si noma?" he said.

This was a direct hit at the DP, who recently went viral for calling out people claiming he does not have a base and is timid.

TikToker advertises laptops atop CBD building amidst protest: "Cheki maneno"

In his caption, he urged people to take things seriously and stop trivialising issues.

"Lil Mwizi. But honestly guys, but honestly, let's be serious and stop trivialising serious issues," he wrote.

In a chat with a political commentator who did not want to be mention, he noted that he was in the midst of the chaos on June 25, but never saw police try to stop the looting.

"It is very questionable when you see goons storm business places but the police do nothing. I was in the Maandamano and those that tried to warn the goons were actually prtotesters and not the police, so what does that say about them" He noted.

Here are some of the reactions to his video, with many finding it hilarious:

CS Kipchumba Murkomen condemns violence, looting in CBD

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that Murkomen broke his silence over the chaos and damage experienced in the CBD.

In a press briefing on Thursday, June 26, the CS visited parts of the Nairobi CBD to inspect the damage and said the protests were hijacked by organised gangs.

Murkomen said the incidents were unfortunate and regretted that hundreds of traders lost their businesses, which were built by hard work.

The politician noted that the Kenya Kwanza government was working on restoring normalcy and security in all parts of the country.
