The young artiste has had a pretty difficult 24 hours, during which she seemingly regrets her actions and would steer clear next time.

Dyana Cods expresses her love for President Ruto

It started when Cods went on her Instagram Stories to share texts, in which she expressed love for her president.

The artiste added that a country with bad governance was better than one with no governance, stating that the current leaders could not be changed.

"I love my president and I stand by that. Just know a country with bad governance is better than one with no governance. You can't change the current leaders but you can change the coming generation of leaders," she wrote.

The post went viral, and actress and political commentator Wanjiku Stephens shared it while urging people to stop supporting her music.

She engaged in an exchange with Wanjiku in DMs., threatening to sue her and demanding that she delete the posts, but that did not work.

Wanjiku claimed that her lawyer was MP Babu Owino, laughing off her threats.

Dyna Cods pleads for forgiveness

Realising that Gen Zs were angered by her comments, Cods returned to her IG stories to beg for forgiveness, noting that it was a post made out of a dare.

She claimed that she was dared to share it for 24 hours, but due to the outrage, she had to retract, adding that it was all sarcasm.

"I was dared to post that for 24 hours but due to public outrage nimewachana na io mchezo....#wantam. It was a sarcasm post towards the goverment Ata nyinyi mnajua gava zi. I stand with the people. Ilikuwa inside joke kwani hamjui jokes, Sorry to the people I offended," she wrote.
