The late athlete’s parents, in an interview with TUKO.co.ke, denied claims that they chased Asenath away.

Kiptum’s dad further alleged that their late son’s foundation only benefited Asenath and sidelined them.

He claimed that his grandchildren had never visited them, and they were unaware of their whereabouts.

Mzee Cheruiyot claimed that they had invited Asenath to their home for their son’s memorial a year after his death, but she never showed up.

Asenath subtly responded to her in-laws' claims with a video talking about being unbothered by negativity and maintained that she was placing her trust in God.
