What did Albert Ojwang's lawyer say at his memorial?
He later died while in the police cell, raising questions about what may have led to his death.
"The last month has been very difficult for me in my legal career. It is the first time that I get a call from a client who seeks my services, and within 12 hours, he is dead. Mzee Meshack called me within 30 minutes of Albert's arrest by the police. And I advised them to arrange to come to Nairobi so that we can organise how to get him released on bond. The next call we got from him was again, less than 12 hours later, is that Albert is dead," said Juma.
The lawyer also thanked Gen Zs for making noise about Ojwang's death, which saw several officers get arrested and the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Eliud Lagat step aside.
