Noah revealed that he and Mildred met in 1980 when she played netball and he was a footballer.
"We met in 1980, she played netball, while I played football, and that is how we fell in love. God works wonders. She was employed at the Railways Training Center at the same time as I. Maybe someone higher up in the ranks said a husband and wife cannot work at the same place, so they tried to give me a transfer to Mombasa, but I refused to leave," he said.

Mildred was a ball of sunshine who loved to help people in need. Noah funnily noted that at times, he would ask her not to.
Women at the memorial mass shared testimonies about how Wanyama's mother helped them pay their school fees.
Others admitted that she had helped their children travel overseas in search of greener pastures.
Noah's wife was every man's dream, and he knew that. When she was ill, he stayed by her side at the hospital.

What started as a wound on her leg led to other complications. Little did the Wanyama family know that their mum would suffer from heart failure.

He amused mourners when he joked about not wanting another wife, even if she were a millionaire.
"I will never find a woman like her, even if God gives me whatever. I had respect for her. Even if you give me a lady who is a millionaire, I wish it had been me (in death). For me to leave, and she remains with the kids. She wasn't sickly. I started overthinking what was wrong. At times, I was skeptical of her helping everyone," he said.
Was Wanyama’s wife scared to meet his wife?
In other news, Wanyama’s wife, Sarah Teshna, shared a touching tribute dedicated to her mother-in-law.
Teshna revealed that she had known Wanyama’s mum for ten years, but she was scared of meeting her.
The actress recalled when she and Wanyama bought their first house and her mother-in-law offered to help her in the kitchen.
Teshna was excited because she was nine months pregnant.
