The Kisumu events promoter and influencer was loved by many, and several people with whom he interacted have paid glowing tributes to him. He was popularly known for his contribution to the Kisumu showbiz scene.

What happened to Maurice Ryan?

The celebrated influencer died after a long battle with cancer. According to family and friends, he underwent brain surgery recently while still undergoing treatment.

A family member identified as Fay recounted her last moments with Maurice on Saturday, July 5, noting she was yet to come to terms with the loss.

"Ei my brother surely. Maurice Ryan.You squizzed my palms for the last time yesterday. Eeeei💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 Ei.Ei. Rest in perfect peace osiepa. I am heartbroken. Ei what is life again?" she posted.

What was Maurice Ryan's last message?

On May 22, the Kisumu influencer shared a post, revealing he was sick, thanking his true friends who stood with him.

"Have been sick, but thanks to all who checked on me. Gilbert Amollo be blessed senator 2027, Cecil Conchela Kondele 2027, Joab Onyi Wuo'opado , Mamboleo 001 Ken Angwen, Daisy, Adui Nyang, Jatelo Washington Odera , friends na all dignitaries and celebrities.... I'm grateful 🙏🙏🥝," he wrote.

On May 25, before he underwent surgery, Maurice shared a photo with his all-grown son, Junior, saying he was hopeful God would heal him.
