The mother of three revealed that she and the late Allan Kiuna had taken a KSh 250 million loan 15 years ago.
Before he passed away in 2024, Kiuna assured her that everything was settled, and at the time, Kathy did not understand her husband's message.
How much did bank waive for the Kiunas?
Three weeks after her husband passed on, the bank called and informed her that they had waived KSh 120 million from the outstanding loan amount.
Kathy was puzzled that they still had an outstanding balance despite paying KSh 450 million over the past 15 years.
She thanked one of her church members, an apostle, who helped them raise KSh 74 million within an hour.
The preacher jokingly asked the congregation what their social capital looks like.

Kathy recalled how the people the apostle had called upon gave millions in cash, which amazed her.
"The people he brought gave many millions. I was like ah, show me your friends. What does your social capital look like? So they give us six months to clear. The six months ended in June. God made sure that money came from other sources before the date arrived. God showed us, and two weeks ago, ladies and gentlemen, we went and got our titles from the bank. I am standing to declare that JCC is debt free," she said.
